A Decided Lack of Angst

So I know my journals are now pretty much reserved for angsty poems about how I hate the world, but I'm really psyched on pirates right now. Again. For, like, the millionth time in my life. But yesterday my friend Katherine showed me a picture of an AP test with a pirate drawn on it and I ended up drawing them all over my physics test.

And then I drew some more when I was done with my physics test.

And now I've ended up redesigning Cutthroats, again. It's much more polished and cute now! Here's a sneak peek until I can get the real thing up! (Taken with my cell phone. Sorry.)

What you see here is Cap'n Gabby, Kaptain Katherine, and Chief Gunner Linda. There's also First Mate Andrina, Half Mate Greg, Lady Monica (or just Lady), Slop Cook Isabella, Cooper Carpenter Julie, and Rendell the Surgeon. As well as the Krakken, who's back again.

It's moodier this time as the Pirate Crew disobeys orders and does whatever they want to do, much to the dismay of Cap'n Gabby, who often declares "Nobody ever listens to me!" There are tensions and fights between various ship mates, and certain members (Isabella and Rendell in particular) absolutely hate their jobs. Isabella often refuses to do it and Rendell's most used phrase is, "Aw, hell no! You're smart, bitch, figure it out." Lady thinks her outfit is too sexy and Gunner Linda didn't realize she'd be gunning people. Cooper Carpenter Julie gets distracted by the shirtless boys on other ships, and First Mate Andrina is a shameless drunk.

All in all, The Disgruntled Guppy is a horrible mishmash of clashing personalities. Cap'n Gabby can usually be heard telling her parrot, "You're my only friend, Carlos."
